Well it had to happen, so decided to refit my reliable Autocom Bike to Bike Comms system to my BMW R1200GS LC TE. Only problem - The BMW - No room to fit anything anywhere....... So a friend of mine came up with this great idea of fitting a small aluminium box under the rear rack......... It took a bit of fiddling, starting with finding a power source..... This time an Autocom filter, connected direct to the battery and then a feed from the Canbus to activate the system.
Centre panel of BMW removed so we could route the wires to the PTT button on the handlebar. Then remove the rear rack........

The new 2015 BMW R1200GS LC TE
Well she has been in the garage for a couple of months now, not been out on it yet until today. It is amazing how many accessories you put on your Motorcycle and I was very surprised when I managed to sell all the bits and bobs off my 2008 BMW R1200GS, which then paid for al the accessories on the new 2015 model.
Managed to sell a fair bit of kit on the UKGSER forum and E Bay but also managed to get some great bargains off E Bay, but buying from France, Germany, Spain and Italy..........
What is fitted now.......

Bagstar Tank Cover
Maier Rear Splash Guard
