Just done a talk to a local RoSPA Advanced Motorcycle Group

I was invited to do a talk on the role of the RoSPA advanced motorcycle examiner at a local RoSPA motorycle group.  I was very warmly welcomed by all the members and really enjoyed the experience.

Thank You - Stafffordshire Advanced Riders

Is there some sort of friction between some RoSPA members and IAM. I mentioned to a UK acquaintancethat I intended following the IAM route (no RoSPA in NZ anyway). He's a RoSPA member and got quite a sarcastic response. Still haven't got to the bottom of it.

There has always been a bit of friction, or should I say friendly rivalry. At the end of the day it does not matter which organisation you go with, you are taking the next step in your riding career. I am a RoSPA examiner so I would always say RoSPA, because the test is graded and to keep the grade you are retested every 3 years. It encourages you to aim for the highest grade and then you must maintain that standard if you intend to pass it again in 3 years. Hope this all makes sense.
Good luck, I am on the internet if you need anything.
